This 23 feet Nataraja/Dancing Siva is made following 'Single Casting' method, Lost Wax process and Chola Style. This is solely as per Shipla Sastra.
This manufacture was possible by using Cauvery Region mud/soft clay. This kind of soil is available ONLY in and around Swamimalai.
This is the Tallest Nataraja Idol in the World. This was manufactured in order to find a place in the Guinness World Records.

On 18 June, CERN unveiled an unusual new landmark, a 2m tall statue of the Indian deity Lord Shiva.
The statue is a gift from India, celebrating CERN's long association with India which started in the 1960's. In Hindu religion, this form of dancing Lord Shiva is known as Nataraj and symbolises Shakti, or life force.

Creator of the world's tallest single-cast Nataraja (23 feet, 15 tonnes), and the reviver of the triple-metal sculpture technique that was in vogue during the Chalukya period (600–700 AD). His works have been exported to over 100 countries and installed at landmark institutions including CERN, Geneva.
